2009 Capital Campaign

Clarksville Christian School is pleased to announce that their "Securing the Future" capital building campaign was successfully launched on Thursday night, April 9th after a wonderful dinner at the Clarksville Country Club. At the conclusion of the evening, the Campaign General Co-Chairman, Ronnie Moore announced that more than $677,000.00 had been pledged over a three year period. This event was attended by more than one hundred of the school's supporters including the school's staff and board of directors. Also in attendance were area church leaders, school families, and other community leaders. The Hilldale Church of Christ helped launch the school in the fall of 2007, and the school currently uses the church's facilities at 501 Hwy 76 to serve one hundred children in grades K-7. Along with Ronnie Moore, additional campaign chairs, Jeff Burkhart and Dr. Rob Galbraith, and the former President of Goodpasture Christian, Dr. Bill Ruhl each spoke of the importance of Christian education and the launch of the new building campaign.
After experiencing nearly 100 percent growth in only its second year, the school's board made a decision to begin a major building campaign after securing a building site on the current church campus. The "Securing the Future" campaign has a base goal of raising $850,000.00 and a challenge goal of $950,000.00. The board is making plans to build the first phase of a new facility with larger state-of-the-art classrooms to eventually serve grades Pre K-12. The school continues its plans to add a grade each year through the twelfth grade with the eighth grade being added this fall. The school has 122 students enrolled for this fall with an expected enrollment nearing 160 students. Short term arrangements have been made to utilize portable learning cottages this fall in preparation for the completion of the first phase of the new facility by the fall of 2010. The school's board is also looking for additional property for the long range needs that are anticipated.
The school's board of directors is excited about the growth in the school's enrollment, but is most excited about the growth its faculty has seen in the individual students CCS serves. The school's vision statement is "to provide academic excellence while equipping our students for righteous Christian living."
