Clarksville Christian School’s Board of Directors has chosen school colors of burgundy and silver, and a centurion as its school mascot. Roman centurions led groups of 100 men into battle while occupying a position at the front right of the century formation. They led and inspired their men by example. They also sought to display the skill and courage that got them to their rank in the first place. In the Bible, Jesus speaks of how a certain centurion had astonished him with such “great faith” [Matthew 8:10]. Clarksville Christian School seeks to develop future “Centurion Citizens”: astonishing leaders with astonishing faith.
