Athletic Coaches


Amanda Binkley – Cross Country

Coach Binkley has been co-coaching the Cross Country team at CCS since 2013.  She is an avid runner and triathlete who has completed several half-marathons, triathlons, and marathons.  She has also competed in several shorter-distance races where she placed in her age division, and has been the overall female winner in the Sango Scamper.  Coach Binkley is also the principal of CCS.



Andy Cameron – Soccer

Coach Cameron has been co-coaching soccer at CCS since 2012.  He has seven years experience coaching at the middle and high school level, and played on scholarship for two years at Michigan Christian College.  He loves coaching soccer and states, “Building a team together helps to build character in our students.”  Coach Cameron is also the Upper School Bible teacher at CCS.


CCS_1022Lance Carpenter – Clay Sports Head Coach

Coach Carpenter has been co-coaching Clay Sporting at CCS since 2010.  He is certified by the NRA as a Level One Shotgun Coach.  Additionally, he is working toward his Level Two and Range Safety Officer certifications.  Coach Carpenter has also been instrumental in coordinating the annual CCS Sporting Clay fundraiser each fall.  He is also an inaugural Clarksville Christian School board member.


CCS_coach_11Coach Cole – Golf Coach

Coach Cole has been coaching golf at CCS since 2009.  He enjoys participating in area golf scrambles and tournaments, and his team places and/or wins on a regular basis.  He is a 1997 graduate of Montgomery Central High School, and a 2001 graduate of Austin Peay State University with a major in Agribusiness.  He is owner of Persimmon Creek Farms, Matt Cole Construction, and co-owner of Clarksville Zombie Hunters.  Coach Cole and his wife Natasha, along with their son Tristan, reside in Clarksville and attend Hilldale Church of Christ.


Margaree King – Girls’ Basketball

Coach Margaree King is the Lady Centurion head basketball coach. Coach King comes to CCS with over eleven years of competitive athletic experience, teamwork, and leadership. She competed as a basketball student-athlete from 2004-2008 at West Point Military Academy, an NCAA Division I school. She graduated from West Point in 2008 with a degree in Civil Engineering. She is the founder and manager of Hustle Hard Athletics, LLC, where she manages and coaches youth student-athletes improving their physical fitness and sport-specific skills.  When asked to reflect on her coaching philosophy, she replied: “In order for us, as Christians, to reach the heights and live out the plan God has for us, we must be disciplined, we must work hard, and we must be faithful. This is simply the blueprint for all things in life, including basketball. Basketball is a perfect conduit to teach our youth how discipline, hard work, and faithfulness lead to success on and off the basketball court.”

CCS_1097Danae Elder – Cross Country

Coach D has been co-coaching Cross Country since 2013 at Clarksville Christian.  She has fourteen years of experience playing soccer, including several years at the collegiate level.  She worked for three years as an assistant at a youth soccer clinic.  She enjoys running, and has completed several half-marathons.  Coach D also teaches PE and music at CCS.


Paris Carter – Boys’ Basketball

Paris Carter is the head boys’ basketball coach at Clarksville Christian School.  He is a former four-year Varsity basketball athlete from Ft. Campbell High School and Rossview High School.  During his college years, he was heavily involved with the basketball intramural program at MTSU, acting as a coach for three years.  Additionally, he has also gained experience as a volunteer assistant basketball coach for Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee, during the 2015-16 basketball season.  While in school at MTSU, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science degree with a major in Sports Management, and gained valuable experience during an internship with Vanderbilt athletics.  When asked why he would like to coach at Clarksville Christian, he replied:  “I have a strong knowledge of the game, a burning desire to teach as much as possible, and even more desire to learn! My passion and vision is to impact the lives of youth through sports. I plan to mold the youth into prioritizing school first, basketball second, and most importantly, being a respectable individual.”

CCS_1021Chris Travis – Clay Sports Assistant Coach

Coach Travis has been co-coaching the clay sporting team since 2011.  He is certified by the NRA as a Level One Shotgun Coach.  Additionally, he enjoys hunting with his son, Jacob, on their farm.  Coach Travis is also an inaugural Clarksville Christian School board member.


Patrick Miller – Baseball

Patrick Miller began coaching baseball for Clarksville Christian in 2017.  He is a native of Clarksville, and graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication in 2006, and a Master of Science in Education degree in 2009.  He played baseball collegiately at Austin Peay and Lambuth University.  He is entering his 13th season coaching baseball in Clarksville.  He began by coaching baseball in 2003 with Clarksville Academy, and started the first ever middle school baseball in Clarksville that season.  He spent three seasons with Clarksville Academy while capturing two district championships and Coach of Year honors in 2005 and 2006.  In 2007, he took the head baseball position at Fort Campbell High School.  In 2008 and 2009, he started the West Creek baseball programs at both the middle and high school level.   In 2011, he began to step into a different role by coaching little league and travel baseball locally.  Over the last six seasons, he has help guide Clarksville National Little League to four straight district championships including a runner-up finish (2016) and third place finish (2014) in Tennessee State tournaments.
