December News From Principal Amanda Binkley
What a successful season for giving we have had this year! Our food drive goal was to raise $7,000 worth of food for The Well, and I am pleased to announce the students exceeded that goal, bringing in over $8,000 worth of food! Thank you so much for your support in this endeavor. Since the students met and exceeded their goal, we will celebrate with a movie & pajama half day on December 8th. Students will be dismissed at 11:30.
We are also collecting donations for Toys for Tots this month. You may support this effort by bringing unused, packaged toys between now and December 15th. We hope you will consider contributing.
Please remember our Scholastic Book Fair will be hosted by PAC from December 1st -December 8th. This is a great opportunity to invest in a Christmas gift. We will also be hosting “Cookies with Santa” on December 5th from 5-7 pm.
We are very excited to present this year’s lower school Christmas program and band concert on December 12th. Our students have been working hard with Coach Johnson and Mr. Senn to bring you an exciting show. Our upper school choruses have also been working with Mr. Johnson on their Christmas performance. We are looking forward to hearing their beautiful voices at the Christmas Concert on December 14th. We hope to see all of our families there!
December 14th will be our monthly Chick-fil-A spirit night. These have been great events for fellowship and school spirit. Thank you for your continued support.
Don’t forget, our second quarter ends on December 15th and we will dismiss at 11:30 that day. Upper School students will have their exams starting on the 11th. We will all be ready for a break! Enjoy your winter holidays December 16th-January 2nd. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me, holy is His name. His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as He promised our ancestors.” – Luke 1:46-55
