She has demonstrated strong academic credentials and determined work ethic through her high school and college studies. At Lipscomb University, she maintained a 4.0 cumulative GPA throughout her Bachelors and Masters level studies, as well as graduating Valedictorian of her class. Before that, she was a product of Christian education as a student at Boyd Buchanan and Goodpasture, where she completed high school.

Prior to serving at CCS, Mrs. Binkley’s last seven years of work experience have been in the Metro Nashville Public Schools. She has gained experience as an educator in the classroom and in several leadership roles. In the classroom, she taught high school history and geography, including Advance Placement level and Contract Honors courses. In a leadership capacity, she served as Chairperson of the History department, a Team Sigma Lead Teacher of the Freshman Academy pilot program, and Contract Honors consultant. Her team eventually was honored as Freshman Academy of the Year in MNPS. Mrs. Binkley’s demonstrated strengths in instructional leadership and organizational skills will serve CCS well.

Mrs. Binkley’s excitement for Christian school education is contagious. She states, “Since graduating from Lipscomb University, I have spent the past seven school years in the Metro Nashville Public School System. While I am extremely grateful for this experience to perfect my craft, work in a challenging environment, and grow as an educator, my home as always been in private Christian education. It has always been my intention to return to the Christian School arena once my experience level would afford me the opportunity. I believe very strongly in the power of Christian education. Education is my ministry, and although I have the opportunity to minister in the public arena through my actions, I strongly desire the opportunity to minister to students who want to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and truth through the lens of their Christian faith. My career is rooted in my faith, and it is my desire to emulate the Master Teacher.”

Mrs. Binkley has traveled abroad on mission trips to Ensenada, Mexico, and wants students to have the opportunity to be a light for Christ via local service work opportunities.

Her family attends the Granny White Church of Christ where she serves as one of the coordinators of Children’s Worship program and also teaches 5th and 6th grade Sunday School.

She and her husband, Jonathan, have two children, Jonah and Noah, who attend CCS.
