Angela Taflinger is the Guidance Counselor at Clarksville Christian School. She received her BA in Social Work from Anderson University in 2006, and her MSW with a concentration in schools from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis in 2010. She is a Licensed Masters level Social Worker with a school endorsement for K-12. She comes to CCS with over eight years of experience, of which three are in a school setting.
Mrs. Taflinger and her family attend worship at Grace Nazarene, where she is involved in the children’s ministry, on the Sunday School board, and is a Nazarene Mission International delegate representative for her local church body. When not working, she enjoys track, being outdoor, crafts, and working with teenage girls.
When asked about her philosophy on Christian education, she replied: “I feel working in a Christian school would give me a great opportunity to help students that may be struggling, gain confidence and be encouraged to continue their walk with Christ. Our students in today’s society have many obstacles with which they are faced. As a social worker in the school setting, I have a wonderful opportunity to work with them during those difficult times, whether that is depression, anxiety, home situations, emotional or mental health issues, learning curves, disabilities, friendship issues, and the list can go on. When dealing with issues that arise, having the opportunity to share how Christ can help will encourage them and help their relationship with Christ to continue to grow.”
