Clarksville Christian School is excited to welcome Kai Jorgensen to the CCS family as a Lower School Music and Band teacher.
Mr. Jorgensen is a recent honors graduate of Oklahoma Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education degree. He has significant performance and rehearsal experience with both traditional and contemporary music on multiple instruments to include saxophone, clarinet, guitar, bass guitar, percussion, piano, trombone, euphonium, and vocal. A notable personal achievement for Mr. Jorgensen is writing, recording, and producing a full-length original music album in 2018.
He has been an active member of both the New Hope Church of Christ and Central Church of Christ in Oklahoma. He has been involved in the worship ministry, from being part of the praise team to leading congregational worship. He has also worked as a youth intern and helped with communion and shut-in services.
When asked about his philosophy on Christian education, he replied, “Teachers have so many opportunities to bless the students we have. I believe that the role of the Christian teacher in a modern environment is to teach students to use their array of talents and hobbies for the glory of God. I hope to use music as a vessel by which to inspire my students to see beauty in all forms of music, and to encourage students to use music to contribute to the beauty of God’s creation.”
