🏀 Big News from CCS! Drake Reed Returns to Clarksville to Lead CCS Basketball 🏀

Clarksville Christian School is excited to announce the hiring of Drake Reed as our new Head Boys Basketball Coach!

A name well known in Clarksville community, Reed brings an elite playing résumé and a deep passion for mentorship to his new role — and he’s returning home with a purpose. As a standout at Northeast High School, Reed was a two-time All-State and three-time All-District selection, averaging 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists as a senior.

He then became a four-year starter at Austin Peay State University, scoring 1,991 career points and pulling down 794 rebounds. His standout collegiate career included:

• OVC Player of the Year (2007)
• AP Honorable Mention All-American
• Lead the Governors to the NCAA Tournament in 2008

After college, Reed played 11 years of professional basketball in France, Austria, Australia, Argentina, and Italy before moving to coaching and mentoring athletes in Arizona. Now, he returns home to Clarksville to invest in the next generation!

🎙️ “It’s time to pour into young people what was poured into me by the great people of Clarksville,” Reed shared. “To God be the glory, forever.”

In addition to coaching, Reed will also teach in CCS’s RISE Academy, working with students on the autism spectrum as part of the school’s specialized education initiative. His presence on campus will extend far beyond the gym.

Today, we celebrate the dads, granddads, and father figures who teach us to laugh, lead with love, and live with purpose. 💪👴❤️ Whether you`re the dad who raised us, mentored us, or walked beside us in faith - your influence is a gift that echoes for generations. And we carry in our hearts the dads who may no longer be with us in person, but whose love and legacy are still very much alive. 💫

Here at CCS, we’re especially grateful for the fathers in our school family - those who support, encourage, and help shape the hearts of our students each day. Your steady presence helps build the foundation of faith and family that makes our community so special. 💙
