Richard Garza

Clarksville Christian School is happy to welcome Richard Garza to the CCS family as a Spanish teacher for grades 3-12.

Mr. Garza is the pulpit minister for the Cross Plains Church of Christ.  He has taught Bible classes to multiple church congregations for 28 years.  He retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority, where he taught for 17 years in the Technical Training Group.  He is also a graduate of the Nashville School of Preaching and Biblical Studies and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  Prior to his military service, his background in Spanish was an asset for him while working for an architectural engineering firm in Mexico City.  Additionally, he has worked as a translator/interpreter in Mexico for various mission trips over a period of ten years.

When asked about his philosophy on Christian education, he replied:  “I want to teach, mentor, and encourage young people to develop into strong, positive, and productive Christian adults.  I believe this can be done by learning while having fun and engaging all students to participate in class.”
