Clarksville Christian School is happy to welcome Whitney Dye to the CCS family as an Upper Elementary math teacher.
Mrs. Dye comes to CCS with four years of experience in the classroom. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Freed-Hardeman University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. While at FHU, she was named to the President’s and Dean’s list, traveled to Mexico and Nicaragua as part of mission trips, and was a member of the Xi Chi Delta collegiate social club.
Mrs. Dye is an active member of Bethel Church of Christ. Her husband, Ethan, is the Youth Minister at Bethel, and she is very involved with helping to plan and execute youth events.
When asked about her philosophy on Christian education, she replied,
“I attempt to be a Christian example on a daily basis inside the classroom and live out my philosophy. I know that my example makes a large impact on the lives of the children I teach. I also want to relate classroom studies to the biblical principles and truth. Finally, I will hold my students to a high standard and correct them in a Godly manner. I believe the way to do this is by making corrections in a loving manner and then reinforcing that with encouragement. I try to live every day in a way that shows God’s love to those I come in contact with. I know that I am supposed to live my life as closely as possible to how Jesus lived his. And that means showing Him to others through words, thoughts, and actions.”
