“Need anything?”

That was the question beloved servant leader, Rep. Jeff Burkhart, asked everyone around him, including our CCS family. At Jeff`s memorial, his brother, Phil Burkhart, and longtime friend Tay Joslin shared powerful tributes about his commitment to living out the heart of that question. Just last month, he shared his time on our campus to honor CCS Coach Trenton Hassell. As always, Jeff laughed with longtime friends and celebrated the accomplishments of others.

“Need anything?”

That question takes on a more powerful meaning today. Let’s honor Jeff Burkart`s legacy by living out his signature phrase. Let’s serve our neighbors here and around the world with the same heart, care, and stewardship that defined his life.

We all miss you. We’re grateful for you, and we know we’ll see you again.

Our CCS family is shocked and heartbroken at the news of the passing of our friend and dedicated public servant, Rep. Jeff Burkhart. In addition to being a tireless champion for the citizens of Clarksville-Montgomery County, he has been a steadfast, unwavering supporter of Clarksville Christian School since our very beginning.

His belief in our mission and his encouragement over the years have meant more than we can possibly express. Our heartfelt prayers are with his friends and family, and especially with his loved ones who are also part of our CCS family and are feeling this loss so deeply.

We thank God for his life, and we pray for comfort, peace, and strength for all who are grieving. May we honor his memory by continuing to serve others with the same dedication and integrity he demonstrated throughout his life.

🎉🏀 Congratulations, Coach Shelton! 🏀🎉

This past weekend, Coach Jason Shelton was inducted into the Freed-Hardeman University Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025! 🙌 What an incredible honor for a coach who helped shape one of the most successful eras in FHU men’s basketball history.

During his 11 seasons at the helm (2005–2016), Coach Shelton amassed 225 wins, led multiple 20+ win seasons, earned a national No. 1 ranking, and saw numerous players named All-Americans. From historic tournament wins to the national stage in Kansas City, his impact on the program is undeniable. 🏆

Coach Shelton’s leadership didn’t stop there because he continues to inspire student-athletes today as our Athletic Director, building champions both in sports and in life.
