Centurion Summer Camps Are in Full Swing ☀️🐛🏀

Last week we had a truly un-BEE-lievable time at Bug Camp, an annual CCS favorite! Campers got up close and personal with the fascinating world of insects… including handling tarantulas (yes, really 🕷️🐛), exploring all kinds of creepy-crawly critters 🐞, and even sampling some surprisingly “bug-inspired” snacks that had everyone saying, “I can’t believe I ate that!” It was equal parts science, curiosity, and just the right amount of “eww… cool!”

We also hit the court for Basketball Camp, where campers dribbled, shot, and passed their way through skill work, competition, and plenty of Centurion hustle. The gym was buzzing just as much as the bug room, just with fewer legs and more layups 🏀🔥

This week, we’re back at it with Cheer, Soccer, and STEM Camps! It’s shaping up to be another action-packed stretch of summer at Clarksville Christian School.

🏆2026 TNSCTP Regional Recap🏆

Congratulations to Knox Blount on an outstanding performance at last weekend’s TNSCTP Regional Tournament!!!

Knox finished 1st Place in his age division in Skeet, breaking an impressive 96 out of 100 targets, and he also earned Runner-Up Intermediate Male High Overall honors.

A big shout-out as well to all team members who competed and to our dedicated coaches for the countless hours they invest. The continued success of this program is a reflection of the hard work, commitment, and teamwork of everyone involved.

Regionals are now in the books, so it`s time to turn our attention to the State Championship Tournament. Let`s go, Centurions! 💪

Members of our CCS team were honored to attend the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner & Gala this year. This was a wonderful time together celebrating the leaders, businesses, and organizations that help make Clarksville-Montgomery County such a special place to live, work, and serve.

A BIG congratulations to our own Erin Yow, who was named the Chamber`s Ambassador of the Year for an unprecedented third time! This prestigious honor reflects Erin`s dedication to serving others, supporting local businesses, and strengthening our community. We`re incredibly proud of her and grateful for the way she represents CCS and Clarksville. Congrats as well to all of this year`s award recipients. Your leadership and service continue to make a lasting impact throughout our community.

We are so thankful for our Chamber of Commerce and all they do to support our region, and we extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Licari for his leadership and service as this year`s Chamber Board President.

Finally, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Antonio and Dava Murgas for graciously inviting us to join them at the Domino`s Pizza corporate table. We enjoyed the fellowship and the opportunity to celebrate alongside so many outstanding community leaders.

⭐Celebrating Tennessee`s Statehood!!!⭐

On this day, June 1, 1796, Tennessee officially became the 16th state admitted to the Union. How fitting that just last week, a group of CCS students, parents, and one of their favorite teachers, Ms. Fisher, had the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C.

A special highlight of the trip was standing together at the Tennessee pillar at the World War II Memorial and reflecting on the service and sacrifice of Tennesseans alongside citizens from every state.

And what a special time to visit! As our nation begins celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence this July 4th, these experiences help inspire the next generation to learn from the past, engage in the present, and help shape the future.

Happy Birthday, Tennessee! ❤️🤍💙

🏀From Centurion to Commodore: Celebrating Lauren Hassell⭐️

We`re thrilled to celebrate one of the most accomplished student-athletes in CCS history, and an even more remarkable young woman!

Congratulations to Lauren Hassell on her commitment to Vanderbilt University, where she plans to continue her academic and basketball career at one of the nation`s premier institutions.

Lauren`s accomplishments are extraordinary:

🏆 2026 TSIAA Miss Basketball
⭐ Nationally ranked among the top players in the Class of 2027
🏀 More than 2,000 career points and 2,000 career rebounds
👑 Leader of Five Consecutive TSIAA State Championship Teams
🏅 Multiple NACA National Championships at CCS

These achievements and many others place Lauren among the most accomplished to ever wear a Centurion uniform. But statistics, awards, rankings, and championships only tell part of the story.

Those who know Lauren also know that she is a dedicated student who pursues academic excellence with the same commitment she brings to the court. She has a way of brightening a room with her smile, celebrating the successes of others, and making people feel valued. Whether in the classroom or the locker room, she leads not only through her talent but through the example she sets every single day.

While Vanderbilt is adding one of the nation`s elite basketball players to its program, they are also gaining an exceptional student, an outstanding leader, and a young woman of tremendous character. Commodore fans will quickly discover what the CCS family has known for years: Lauren Hassell is special.

Her impact on CCS will be felt for years to come, and her legacy will not simply be measured by points, rebounds, championships, or awards. It will be measured by those she inspired, the example she set, and all the lives she impacted along the way.

Lauren, we are so incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see what God has in store for your future. We believe the best is yet to come, and your CCS family is cheering for you every step of the way!!! ❤️🖤🤍
