🎉 Welcome to the NHS! 🎉

This past weekend, we were ecstatic to welcome 28 new members into the Clarksville Christian School chapter of the National Honor Society!

The 2026 NHS Induction Ceremony was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, and service.

A huge thank you to our NHS sponsor, Aubrey Tate, and to our NHS student leaders for helping plan and lead such a wonderful ceremony. We`re also grateful to the Hilldale Church of Christ for hosting this event and continuing to support CCS and our students.

Congratulations to our 28 newest NHS members! ❤️🖤

🎉 Govs Fest 2026!!! 🎉

We had an absolute blast on Friday night at Govs Fest!

It was so much fun being out and seeing so many familiar faces, meeting some incredible student-athletes, and supporting the Govs!

And one of the best parts of the night? Getting to run into some of our CCS alumni who are now part of the APSU family! There’s nothing quite like seeing our former Centurions out there continuing to learn, lead, and make us proud!

What a great time to be a Gov. What a great time to be a Centurion. And what a great time to call Clarksville-Montgomery County home!

We Are Centurions! Let`s Go Peay! ❤️🖤

🎉Meet Michelle Shipman! 🎉

We’re thrilled to welcome Michelle Shipman to the Clarksville Christian School administrative team as our K-12 Assistant Principal!

Michelle has proudly called the Clarksville community home for more than 20 years and has spent 34 years serving in education in a variety of classroom and leadership roles. Most recently, she served as an Academic Coach with CMCSS, supporting teachers, strengthening instruction, and promoting student success.

At CCS, Michelle will focus primarily on supporting and equipping our teachers, coaching and encouragement, and helping our faculty continue to grow and thrive. She brings a wealth of experience, a heart for educators, and a deep love for Christian education. And Michelle is no stranger to the CCS family. She’s been part of the Clarksville Christian School family for many years, and now we’re blessed to welcome her to the team!

Michelle and her husband, David, have been married for 34 years and are blessed with four children, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter who has made them very proud grandparents! Their family is actively involved at Stroudsville Church of Christ, where David serves as an elder.

Michelle says it best: “We have been deeply blessed by its Christ-centered mission, strong community, and commitment to academic and spiritual growth. I am thankful to God for the opportunity to serve on the CCS administrative team and look forward to partnering with students, families, faculty, and staff as we continue to pursue excellence while honoring Him in all we do.”

Welcome to the team, Michelle! We`re so grateful to have you serving alongside us! ❤️

The Second Mile Starts Here!

Earlier this week, our Upper School gathered for assembly as we kicked off a new school year and officially rolled out our 2026-27 theme, the Centurion M.I.L.E.

Our students and staff filled the room with great singing, spent time in prayer, and heard an inspiring devotional from our Director of Advancement, Brandon Sheffield. Brandon challenged us with the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:41, “And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.”

Those words would have landed differently in Jesus’ day. By law, a Roman soldier could compel a civilian to carry his pack for one mile. You had to carry it. You had no choice. But Jesus said, in essence, don’t stop when the obligation ends. Keep walking and go another mile!

That second mile was voluntary. It was a choice. And that is what made it so powerful. The first mile was required; the second revealed the heart. The first mile met the expectation; the second exceeded it. The first mile was what you had to do; the second was what you chose to do.

And that is the heart of our Centurion M.I.L.E. - Mission. Integrity. Love. Excellence. It`s a call to go the second mile in every part of who we are and everything we do. In the classroom and in our academics, on the field, in the way we serve, in the way we lead, and in the way we love, Centurions go above and beyond.

We won`t settle for simply meeting expectations. We will pursue excellence. We will give our best when it is difficult and serve even when it`s inconvenient. We`ll encourage when it would be easier to criticize, and choose to do more than what is required... because we are called to something greater!

This year, we’re choosing the second mile.❤️

Faith, fun and friends made for a fantastic Friday in the Lower School! ❤️

We kicked off our first elementary chapel of the year with Steve Kirby, a CCS founding board member and longtime Hilldale minister. Steve shared the story of the Roman centurion whose faith amazed Jesus and helped our students learn how our own Centurion mascot got its name!

We also celebrated Mrs. Jody, a true CCS volunteer extraordinaire who has spent more than a decade serving in our library and in other key areas on campus. She was honored with a Second MILE Award, presented by Mrs. Harper, for going above and beyond to serve our school. 📚❤️

Our kindergarteners had a blast wrapping up the week with their weekly science experiment alongside Mrs. Farmer and their teachers! 🔬🧪 And all across the Lower School, our students were busy learning, creating, exploring, and growing together!

Faith. Fun. Friends. What a great way to finish our first full week of school together! Go Centurions!
